This new life that I’ve recently been living has allowed my eyes to open to the beauty that surrounds me.  I’ve always known it was there, but experiencing it and seeing it in my mind are 2 different things.  At the end of the week a very good friend of mine called me up and let me know he was going to be in town for the afternoon.  So we gathered up our cameras and headed out into my neighbourhood – Gastown.

I was determined to find some interesting/artistic shots since I tend to enjoy taking photos of people more.  Something I realized this weekend though – I *love* detail shots.  There is something about creating such emotion with a few little details that I get all excited about it!

We made our way to the New Convention Centre and whatever comment I might have made to him before we reached it (something along the lines of….”I don’t like it”) I immediately took back once I saw this beautiful location.  I’m swooning over this!
