What do you want from your life

A hole in the weave of plans, that is what he found, and he put his hand right through it. That is how I felt New Year’s Day when Mister and I were walking along the water, with a Starbucks in hand. He looked at me and said, “what are you going to do with…

These are questions that few people ever ask themselves, and often just continue through life going from one expected thing to another, without ever evaluating what they truly want. Bravo! You are brave to ask the questions (and answer them) in a public way….already you are an inspiration to me. I am very proud of you!
Lots of love and hugs are being telepathically sent to you over the great sea….xoxox

Hi Lesley, it’s so great to see that are in fact others struggling with similar thoughts. I aspire your will to take on the challenge and your courage to post your thoughts online, which is in a way exposing yourself to potential criticism. Yet I’m convinced it’s the only way to reaching your goal: exposing yourself. Like you say: how else would anyone even know of your existence, let alone why you do what you do. I mention why, because I read on your other blog that you were reading this book ‘Why’. I saw a presentation by the author on the this subject on TEDTalks.com and really started me thinking about consumers and marketing. I really think that this book is a very valuable asset in the process of branding yourself. What also struck me, is how you describe you’d like to assist businesses that are looking for a still too neglected value of helping each other. Indeed, too much is it still a situation of ‘the winner takes it all’, whereas – in my opinion – it’s quite clear that the true, albeit longterm, profit lies in supporting and helping each other, instead of fighting each other over who gets the most customers. It’s wonderful to see that there are like-minded people, and I’m glad I’m reading their blog 🙂 Keep inspiring all of us, please!

Small Beautiful Daybook

While I get Adley Studio set up here in the Netherlands, there will be less then normal photoshoots being featured, so instead of just having no posts, I’ll be posting random things I find around the web, and things like this, a small beautiful daybook. Idea initially found here, I just tweaked it a little…

I LOVE stroopwaffles!!! Make sure you warm them up – makes the syrup all gooey. 😀 Also, you need to try croquets.

Woolen coats and heavy scarfs

The sun is shining today, playing against the houses down the street bouncing off one or the other, as if playing hide and seek. You can feel the cheer in the air as people are trying to decide between their dark woolen coats or a lighter spring jackets. Most people aren’t quite ready to trust…

Filling up on Vancouver

We live in such a beautiful city and with the snow caped mountains, the grey ocean that is covered in ice in some places, and winter wonderland outside my window it makes it hard to think about leaving. And knowing we only have a few weeks left I’m filling up on Vancouver. Talking walks around…

Early Christmas

This year’s Christmas was like no other; it was full of emotions and many happy moments! The week of Christmas I wasn’t sure if Mister would be home for Christmas, as he got stuck at the Heathrow Airport due to crazy weather conditions. But he surprised me with an early morning text the day after…
